The Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) is looking to appoint an ambitious science communication specialist to oversee POST’s communications activities. POST is the UK Parliament’s in-house source of independent, balanced and accessible analysis of public policy issues related to science and technology. The right candidate will help POST develop its website, manage its social media activity, ensure its publications reach the right people at the right time, and organise a series of parliamentary seminars and exhibitions.

The Role
The post holder will be responsible for managing the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology’s (POST) communication activities, including its online presence, events and publications.
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
• Writing and editing written copy for print and online outlets
• Editing web pages (including using content management systems; developing websites to meet corporate goals; working with web designers)
• Use of social media to promote and disseminate content
